Ngorongoro Conservation Area
From the Serengeti National Park in the north to the Great Rift Valley in the east, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is located. The conservation area is more than 8,000 km² (3,200 sq. miles) in total. It is made up of Oldoinyo Lengai Mountain, Olmoti Crater, Empakaai, Olduvai Gorge, Ngorongoro Crater, and Ndutu. Numerous kinds of animals can be found living in the mixture of lakes, craters, savannah, valleys, and marshes.
Ngorongoro Crater
The primary feature of this region is the well-known Ngorongoro Crater. The massive volcano erupted and fell in on itself two or three million years ago. This led to the formation of the crater, which in turn produced a distinct ecosystem with a diverse range of flora.
The crater is currently home to Africa’s largest concentration of wildlife. Elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, warthogs, buffaloes, and zebras all call it home. Predators like as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards are widely distributed. Of course, one of the main draws of the Ngorongoro Crater is the Big Five: buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino. This crater is 20 kilometers (12,5 miles) broad and 600 meters (2,000 feet) deep, and you can see them all there. Wittiness the range of creatures and stunning scenery hues. There are amazing views of the crater floor from the rim of the crater. The crater was selected as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders due to its breathtaking natural beauty.
