Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

Tanzania’s Manyara National Park is roughly 325 square kilometers in size. It is well-known for its varied ecosystems and includes the alkaline Lake Manyara, grassy plains, and deep woods. The park is a must-visit for wildlife aficionados because of its big elephant populations, abundant birds, and tree-climbing lions.

Wildlife in Manyara National Park

Manyara is home to most of the distinctive mammals of East Africa, including as giraffes, elephants, buffalo, hippopotamus, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and loads of plains game. It is also said to have the largest baboon troupes in Africa. The misconception that the lions of Manyara are distinct from other lions originated when some lions chose to take a nap in trees during the sweltering noon sun. The park is currently known as the Famous Trees Climbing Lions National Park as a result of this.
