NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
The crater created when a massive volcano exploded and collapsed on itself approximately two to three million years back, forming a natural enclosure measuring of 600meters deep and a floor which covers an area of 260 km. Within the crater lies a stunning ecosystem, including ravine forests, lose plains, freshwater and alkaline lakes which magnetize a number of wildlife and Africa’s Big Five which can be spotted on the safari. Apart from the crater the Ngororngoro is surrounded by highlands that creat othere beautiful landscapes , inside the Conservation Area is where the first mans skull was discovered in the olduvai gorge also known as the Oldupai gorge the place is where the remains of the first mans skull are found and well preserved .
