Upon the arrival of your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are met by a Wyatt Dynasty Safaris representative who will transfer you to top rated hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, you are greeted by a friendly staff, offering refreshments before turning in to rest after your travels.
You’ll leave the hotel after breakfast for Lake Manyara National Park, traveling through African villages and coffee plantations along the way. This morning’s early start will be well worth it for the opportunity to spend the entire day in the Ngorongoro Crater, complete with a picnic lunch overlooking a small hippo lake. Explore the magnificent crater and its animals by descending 600 meters below the rim. Explore the woodland, lake, and open grassland settings in the hopes of spotting a great number of animals—after all, the crater is home to Africa’s densest concentration of species. Late in the afternoon, return to the Lodge.
Today, you’ll explore Olduvai Gorge, a steep-sided canyon that contains some of the world’s richest and best-preserved archaeological and paleontological sites, before heading to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, where you may see the Big Five, big cats, and some spectacular panoramas. After lunch, go on a wildlife drive in the park before having a good rest for the night with spectacular view. There’s no denying you’re in the middle of nowhere.
The Serengeti is separated into four sections, each of which sees the annual great migration pass through at different times of the year. The western corridor is perhaps the most well-known, and a game drive en route to your next destination for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive, will allow you to appreciate the park’s grandeur. Tonight, you’ll spend the night in Tented Camp.
This morning, you have the choice of taking a balloon trip over the Serengeti(with an extra costs $599 per person), which will provide you with some incredible views of the Serengeti’s great open grasslands. Then go on morning and afternoon game drives in search of big cats and other wildlife.
Set out for the Grumeti airport, where you’ll fly to Arusha in a light aircraft, getting a unique perspective of Tanzania’s countryside. This is a beautifully classic way to end your Tanzania safari, following in the footsteps of the adventurers of the 1920s. Travel time is estimated to be 2.30 hours. After arriving in Arusha, you will be taken to the airport for your return trip to your home country.
